About MRPO - Our Vision
To achieve a future where Cambodia's marine ecosystems are sustainable, diverse, and resilient, serving as a foundation for thriving coastal communities, national prosperity, and a vibrant blue economy.
Why MRPO Exists
Cambodia's marine environment supports fisheries, biodiversity, coastal livelihoods, food security, and a growing blue economy. Yet these ecosystems face increasing pressure from habitat loss, overfishing, pollution, climate change, ghost nets, and unsustainable coastal development.
MRPO works to strengthen the long-term health of Cambodia's marine resources through science-based conservation, local knowledge, community participation, and practical partnerships.
Our Mission
MRPO works to protect, conserve, and restore marine ecosystems while supporting food security, community well-being, and environmental sustainability for Cambodia's coastal future.
