Findings

• Display queries are about 0.25° apart, sampling a native 1/12° global model. These are monthly model estimates, not field stations or present-day measurements.
• The derived speed is the magnitude of monthly mean current components, not the mean instantaneous speed. Salinity retains its original provider unit, 1e-3.
