What is available
Fifty complete public Copernicus model samples for May 2026 are integrated with salinity and eastward/northward current components near 0.49 m depth. Original query links are retained.
Findings and interpretation
- Display queries are about 0.25° apart, sampling a native 1/12° global model. These are monthly model estimates, not field stations or present-day measurements.
- The derived speed is the magnitude of monthly mean current components, not the mean instantaneous speed. Salinity retains its original provider unit, 1e-3.

Model samples for May 2026 are available. The atlas does not yet include the complete regional time series.
